CRITIC'S CORNER: MICHAEL JACKSON'S THRILLER

Again teaming up with Off the Wall producer Quincy Jones and Bruce Swedien, Michael Jackson was inspired to create an album that all songs was a killer.

Recording started in 1982 at Westlake Recording Studios in Los Angeles, with a production budget of 3/4 of a million dollars. But take note that even with that huge a budget this sold 32 million copies worldwide by the end of 1983, updated with a total of 66 million copies sold to this day.

Thriller became the 2nd best-selling album of all time and the best-selling album worldwide! Steve Lukather of Toto played the rhythm guitar parts and Eddie Van Halen of the rock band Van Halen to play the solo on one song. Steve Porcaro of Toto composed Human Nature and Vincent Price voiced on the track Thriller.

To this day this record is probably in every household in the world.
